Farmers regardless of the commodity in Ghana, tend to be one of the poorest occupational classes in society. At GaiaCare, we support the building of the capacity of farmers on additional livelihoods such as beekeeping, snail, and mushroom rearing among others. We strongly believe that if farmers and their households have diversified income sources, it raises them above the poverty line; allowing them to give their children a better education and become good role models for their children to learn from.
