Tree tenure remains a critical hurdle for organisations, companies, government and farmers across Ghana. Tenure security ensures farmers own the rights to trees. Companies on the other hand can be assured farmers will keep trees (investment) on the farm for a sustained period of time. Government can combat deforestation and help mitigate some impacts of climate change on poor farming households. All these benefits aside, the process of registering trees remains a conundrum for most stakeholders.
